ILLINOIS OPEN ORGANIZATION SALUTES ABRAHAM LINCOLN

February 12, 2009

“Fourscore and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent, a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.”

Illinois Open believes it is the right of all adopted men and women to have access to their original birth certificates unaltered and free from falsification.

Adoptees know that if Abraham Lincoln and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. were alive today, they would be challenging the state of Illinois to treat all adoptees on a par with all non-adopted citizens.

Great blog, Anita!

We need people like MLk and Abe to fight with us for open records. It is terribly wrong that injustice is being shown to adoptees and that not all are being treated equal.

But we will prevail!
